Hi, I’m Amy—co-founder of JHW and benefits consultant with a heart for people.

Before JHW came to life, I started my career in the insurance world, diving into coding and billing. It was a solid foundation, but I quickly realized that billing wasn’t where my passion lived. I wanted to do more—to connect with people, to help them feel supported and informed. That spark led me to a role as a broker’s assistant, and I absolutely loved it. From there, I earned my license, stepped into the broker role, and eventually took a leap of faith to start something of my own. With the encouragement of my amazing parents and a trusted business partner, JHW was born.

At JHW, my role is all about making the complicated feel simple. I bring a background in benefits consulting and a knack for creating materials that truly resonate. Whether I’m building a guide, writing client-facing content, or shaping internal messaging, I aim for that sweet spot where clarity meets compassion.

A little humor goes a long way. So does listening. And when things get messy, I lean on intuition, empathy, and a deep understanding of what people need—because insurance isn’t just about coverage. It’s about connection.

Hi, I’m Alicia—and I’m here to make insurance feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more human.

I’ve always believed that people deserve to feel comfortable, informed, and supported—especially when navigating something as personal and complex as insurance. I’m the kind of person who loves a good conversation, and I make it a point to create space where questions are always welcome and no one feels rushed or dismissed. My goal is simple: to help you feel at ease, understood, and empowered.

I absolutely love helping people feel smart, supported, and seen—especially when it comes to the often confusing world of insurance and employee benefits. I’m a strategic communicator who thrives on turning complex jargon into clear, relatable language, transforming spreadsheets into stories, and making meetings moments where trust is built and strengthened.

Outside of work, I find joy in the art of thoughtful connection. Whether I’m exploring new places with loved ones, diving into meaningful conversations, or soaking in the sights and sounds of fresh experiences, my free time is all about curiosity, creativity, and cherishing the human moments that make life truly memorable.

Hi, I’m Lin—and compassion, clarity, and care are at the heart of everything I do.

With over 40 years of experience as a registered nurse—most of it spent working closely with health insurance—becoming an independent broker felt like a natural next step. I started our brokerage with my daughter, Amy, blending my clinical insight with her fresh perspective and creative energy. Together, we set out to build something meaningful.

After losing my youngest daughter to cancer, my purpose became even clearer: to educate and empower clients so they can make informed decisions about their health coverage. We believe that understanding your options leads to peace of mind—and that everyone deserves to feel supported, heard, and cared for.

At our brokerage, we focus on building lasting relationships. We take the time to translate complex insurance language into something clear and approachable, making sure our clients feel confident every step of the way. This mission not only honors my daughter’s memory—it reflects our deep commitment to making a positive impact.

Amy brings her own expertise and youthful spark, while Aicia adds warmth and a friendly touch that makes every conversation feel personal. Together, we create a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns.
